Basic use of zinc oxide 

The reference material for calibrating disodium ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid is used to precipitate the easily hydrolyzable elements such as iron, chromium, vanadium, titanium and zirconium in the determination of manganese by redox volumetric method. They are used as hydrogen sulfide absorbents, pigments and semiconductors.

It is used for xerography, dry transfer, laser fax communication and electronics.
